I am Descartes Evil Demon and I am having an existential crisis. I like to write about things I either think are awesome or I think suck. For some reason, thanks to technology, I have been given the impression that everyone gives a crap about what I think about any given thing at any given time. I try to pretend that this is not all about self-indulgence but let’s face it; most everything is.

Full disclosure, I don’t have any letters behind my last name. I am not qualified to have any of the views I have. I dabble in philosophy but I’m not quite smart enough for it and I have all sorts of opinions about stuff and junk that I do my best to find information to support. That way, I never have to leave my comfort zone and I can always live under the impression that I am right about everything.  I’m not the smartest guy on the planet – OK, yes I am – (so smart, in fact, that I cannot figure out how to punctuate this sentence) but I’m pretty sure I have it all figured out.

I write about politics, philosophy, anthropology, science, economics, and generally anything having to do with the human condition. Generally I’m just writing for the sake of catharsis and in a simpler world all of this would just be in some journal that in a few years I would lose. Instead, it is on the world wide web to be seen by any and all. At least this way I don’t have to admit to writing in a journal.
Anyway, maybe you’ll find a tasty tidbit or two in here and maybe it will make you hungry for a sandwich and maybe you will share it with me?
